Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

As the buoyant sign says in the window of 2038 North Halsted Street, "really, really good things are coming soon." Monica + Andy, the online clothing line for infants and toddlers, will open a store there in early June.

The store, of course, will let brand rep interact more closely with customers than they would in an online space. "We plan on offering one-on-one customer service experience with our team of mama storks, or customer service associates," Monica + Andy creator Monica Royer said. "We have moms working with us so that they can also share their tips and experience, which can be especially helpful when shopping for little babies."

The store will carry everything from seersucker suits and tutu dresses to soft, cuddly blankets. There will also be a plant-based milk and cookie bar serving treats with almond or rice milk, and in-store activities will include mommy-baby yoga and story time.

Staffers will also offer curbside pickup and shopping. Stay tuned for more details on the opening date.
