AROUND TOWN—Behold the 14 hottest restaurants in Chicago. The new additions to the Heatmap are Cocello, Japonais by Morimoto, and Yum Cha.

UPTOWN—People, the time has finally come. Sonic Drive-In opened its first location in the city limits yesterday; there's many grand opening festivities slated for Tuesday.

BUCKTOWN—For the first time, Mindy Segal, the James Beard winner that's widely considered the best pastry chef in Chicago, won't be making the desserts at her eponymous restaurant. She hired Kymberli DeLost as her first pastry chef in order to focus on a new location and cookbook.

FULTON MARKET—The Boka and Bristol groups gave their upcoming steakhouse collaboration in the Google building a nameArmour & Swift. It's slated to open next spring.
