Get ready for a menswear store that shows the game and has its own bar: Alton Lane's sixth showroom will open on Oak Street on May 31. The custom men's clothier specializes in suits, shirts, blazers, and trousers, and staffers make sure those items are fully fitted. They rely on a 3D scanner to take 160 different measurements.
When they started the business, co-owners Peyton Jenkins and Colin Hunter wanted to offer "Savile Row quality" for a fraction of the price, so shirts start at $89 and suits start at $595. They also wanted to create a truly fun shopping experience. Hence the drinks, the games on the large-screen TV, and leather couches to lounge on.
