Jewelry company Alexis Bittar will open its second Chicago boutique on Oak Street later this week. Bittar has long been a fan of the posh shopping strip—"I remember when the incredible Ultimo store was there," he said in a press release—and wants to infuse the area with a little "Brooklyn street cred."

The brand comprises a fine line and three individual collections dubbed Lucite, Miss Havisham, and Elements.

When the store opens, be on the lookout for everything from feathered cuffs to drop earrings inspired by chain link fences; the fine collection will arrive in October. There will also be a selection of antique pieces selected by Bittar himself, and some of the sculptural pieces from his editorial line will also be available.

The Chicago store will have decor inspired by the 1940s, industrial style, and the Alfred Hitchcock film North by Northwest. Having a had time picturing that? It will play out in cherry-blossom silk wallpaper and decorative taxidermy created by artist taxidermy artist Frank J. Zitz. "It's an adult Pee-Wee playhouse, so get into it!," Bittar said.
