Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
The Blues Jean Bar has a new service that allows for at-home shopping and jeans-trying-on (a merciful idea, if you ask us.) Catering to both men and women, the "BJB Express Service" starts off with a personal phone consultation with a Blues Jean Bar staffer; shoppers also fill out a profile online. After assessing your casual-outfit needs, the staffer packs up hand-selected items and ships them to your home for free. You have 10 days to try on the duds and decide what you want to keep, and only pay for the items that make it into your permanent collection. Get the complete details here.
