If you're looking to send an impressive gift, Kalla offers the end-all of grand gestures. The luxury flower-delivery service, which just launched in Chicago, lets users choose from a selection of impeccably tasteful bouquets. "The floral industry has become saturated with generic arrangements and an assembly line approach—particularly when it comes to online and mass market retailers," said lead floral designer Addie Flynn in a press release. "We wanted to bring a hand-crafted, personal connection back to flower delivery.
Hence this selection, and each arrangement has its own back-story. Take the Josephine & Napolean, for example, which uses pale pink garden roses to represent the spotlight-stealing "siren."
The bouquets come in beautifully painted vases, and senders pair the arrangements with wine and artisan chocolates from Christopher Elbow. There's also a greeting card with a custom message, and an optional text message sends a photo or video to the recipient at the same time the delivery arrives.
Prices range from $95 to over $200, and delivery can be same-day if flowers are ordered before 11 a.m. Currently, the company ships throughout the Chicagoland and South Florida areas, but—like a flower—it's growing.
