According to Crain's Chicago Business, Hanig's Slipper Box has closed its Lincoln Park location after a 70-year run. Standing since 1944, the shop at the corner of Clark and Diversey sold shoes, sandals, and boots. The company now has three stores: one in Wilmette, one in the Clybourn Corridor, and one at the John Hancock Center.
