Is Toms Shoes Opening on Damen Avenue?

On the, er, heels of the news that Shinola is opening a shop on Damen Avenue, it appears that Toms Shoes may open a spot on the same strip.

According to DNA Info, the footwear brand—which donates a pair of shoes to a child in need every time it sells a pair—may open a store in the former Caribou Coffee space at 1611 North Damen Avenue. As far as we know, however, the lease has not yet been finalized.
