HYDE PARK—The blossoming of the Hyde Park scene reached a new level with the opening of The Promontory this week, from the team behind Longman & Eagle. See all of the bi-level secluded restaurant and music venue here and the open flame-based menu here.

RIVER NORTH—Chef Tony Mantuano of Spiaggia fame opened a massive new restaurant this week, River Roast, on a prominent perch on the bank of the river.

LOOP—Former Check, Please host Alpana Singh revealed many details on her upcoming second restaurant across from the Art Institute, Seven Lions.

WICKER PARK—Look for many fast-casual bubble tea and bao spots from the man behind Forever Yogurt to invade Chicago soon. The first Bee & Tea opened this week on North Avenue and seven more locations are already in the works.
