Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
It has arrived: our first bit of Lollapalooza-slash-retail scoop for the summer (and, as far as we know, the first bright blue bike with a festival logo splashed on its side.) LollaShop, the festival's official pop-up shop, will open its doors at Block 37 on July 25, and will remain open through August 4 (the festival itself runs August 1 to 3.)
The shop—which is in a new location this year—will stock official festival gear including branded t-shirts; it will also carry merchandise from local companies such as Character Skateboards, Casual Friday, and Chi Chi Sport.
For even more city pride, the shop has partnered with brands to create a "Lolla Loves Chicago" capsule collection, which is available for pre-purchase here. With everything from sneakers to braided bracelets, the collection also includes a custom Lolla bike by Sole Bicycles. (What better for a bike-loving town such as ours?) Take a peek at some more of the capsule collection, below, and stay tuned for more details on all things summer festival.
