Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Space519, the "refined general store" at the 900 shops, has taken its show on the Web. Its just-launched e-commerce platform (which caught the attention of Vogue) features accessories, apothecary items, gifts, books, and other goods—there's also a blog and editorial content.
Don't expect the website to be a mirror image of the glossy shop, though. "Rather than an exact translation of what is available in store, we want the site to be specifically targeted to the online shopper," said co-owner Lance Lawson. "We want it be finely edited, representing only the latest and greatest edited from the thousands of fabulous products we offer in-store."
To further edit the selection, there will be a weekly "Top 10" section featuring picks from the store owners and their top customers. Want to pick out some of your own faves? Take a whirl through the new online shopping destination here.
