It's now September 18th, four days after the official Altuzarra for Target collaboration release via Target and Net-a-Porter. Don't worry, though; there are still many leopard print skirts, floral graphic dresses and come hither boots to be purchased, at least at the City Target at State and Madison. Heading downtown, we were bursting at the seams thinking that our most-coveted pieces were going to be sold out. But much to our delight, with the exception of belts, pretty much everything was in stock and, well, pretty much every size was still available. Noteworthy pieces include the fierce thigh-high boots and ankles booties, both floor-length evening gowns and the sultry black lace lingerie.
We can't say we're surprised the only things that looked moderately sold-through were the scarves and the satin-lapel blazer. In person, the faux fur jacket does look more faux and less fur. And while the evening gowns are gorgeous in silhouette, they do look a little inexpensive with the golden piette sequins. Regardless, the collection is worth checking out if Altuzarra is even sort of your jam—everything is under $100, which is a true steal in the world of designer collaborations. And if tonight is any indication of overall sell-through, it looks like you don't have to rush to see all the goods. If you're lucky, with the new 14 day return policy, even more sought-after sizes and styles might be back on the shelves in just a couple of weeks, so keep checking back.—Mack Nielson
