The United Colors of Benetton quietly closed its store at The Shops at North Bride mid-August. The store had been part of the mall since it opened in 2000. While this closing may have came abruptly, Benetton has been struggling to replicate its success of the 80s. Over the past few years, the Italian label has been slowly closing its Chicago outposts. First to say goodbye was the Oak Park shop, closing in 2010. Then the Lincoln Park shop closed in 2012. And now with the closing of the shop at North Bridge, we guess it's time to say to, "Ciao, Benetton!"
